I'm on Shrooms! I'm on Shrooms!

Rated 5 / 5 stars June 15, 2009

Pretty.

I love the Lonely Island. Who'd say I'd find out about them through SNL... hehe

Well, on to the animation.

The drawing style COMPLETELY matched the music style, it flowed perfectly with the music. Gave me a nice fuzzy feeling ;) Loved the simple yet stylish drawings. The speedo thing made me crack, and the pretty colors went very well with it.

Overall, highly styled animation. Altough short, but I understand the reason ;)

Keeep it up.

Space Avoider v0.1 Space Avoider v0.1

Rated 3 / 5 stars May 7, 2009

Fairly nice

It's a test, I know. So i'll go easy on you.

Graphics; Very subpar. Thick lines and no shading, little style and mis-use of gradients. Overuse of the same asteroid. Ugly outline for the whole flash :P Menu is kind of ugly too. The dots in the back give it a nice touch, though. :D

Sound- The music is funky. I like it, made me laugh. Altough may not go at all with the game style.

Interactivity- nice. A bit repetitive, perhaps adding some acceleration and de-acceleration to the ship. Different size rocks, etc. Ability to move around the whole screen.

Overall, nice game. But needs lots of improvement.

Cheers. :)

Pong Wars v1.1 Pong Wars v1.1

Rated 3 / 5 stars March 10, 2009

Nice start

Why hello there, nice to see you finally started doing flash.
I'll be critical...

Graphics leave me wanting a lot more, I liked the menu's background. The "deflector" was a bit simple, and very... weird too. The ships could be much better, and please lay off the use of flash's preset gradients.

Sounds were a bit annoying, the menu music was nice. The in-game music not so much, and sometimes it stopped playing. The sound fx were a bit annoying.

As for interactivity, the game goes quite random and boring. Perhaps varying speeds (not just according to difficulty mode), make something you're actually defending and the ships crash on it and damage it, and vary the damage depending on the ships color, i dont know.

Make it more interesting, it's a simple pong game without an actual enemy.

Gotta agree though, It's nice when sound plays exactly when you meant it to lay. :)

Making the ships bounce off in random directios or in a direction that was according to the reflector's angle would've been very nice too.

Overall, nice. But could be better.

Keep it up, cheers.

Awesome-pie.

I loved it, the graphics were very simplistic, altough very stylish. The background wasn't much of a win, though. :p

The interaction was very good, the game was fun. Played a few times, It's kinda hard when it changes directions xD

Very nice game Coaly, well done.

Coaly responds:

You didn't like the still sky background?!?

My Science Experiment My Science Experiment

Rated 1.5 / 5 stars September 19, 2008

Very boring.

I'll go easy on you since you're barely starting, but i speak truth. :P

It was way too boring, I mean, there was little no interaction, aside from pressing the syringes (sp?) and mixing the... mix. Plus the drawings and little animation there was were pretty horrid, way too simple. Work on more complex stuff next time.

Also, try to make things interesting. Add music, and perhaps having made it an animated movie instead of a "power points presentation" (because that's what it looksl ike) would've made it much better.

Not trying to put you down, on the contrary. Cheers and keep it up,

Blaze.

Nice

Well, the dress up was unnecesary I guess. I really liked the movie, seemed a bit noobish at first because of the overuse of gradients, but afterwards i really liked it.

The FBF was consistand and fluid, altough the characteres weren't into much detail, it looked pretty good. Keep up the good work!

Also, nice choice on the music. :D

Sonic: Darkness Part 1 Sonic: Darkness Part 1

Rated 3 / 5 stars September 10, 2008

Not bad

Altough as a suggestion, put some time into your author comments. It shows you care and that you actually put effort.

Now onto the movie...

At first i found it quite boring, the texts were there for too long, and the first one went by too fast. Voice adding instead of text would've been way better, perhaps a different font, too.

The first fight sequence seemed a bit lazy, with the circles appearing and referencing a "fight" between them. The second one was a bit better, though.

It's sprites, So I can't really judge on art. Nice choice of music though, altough the credits music looped way too freaky.

Not bad, I guess I'll expect the next parts to see how stuff comes out. But you should try getting out of sprites and re-do this with your own drawings ; it'll be way better.

Keep it up! :: Blaze.

gamefreak20000 responds:

Just to let you know, I do appreciate your comments, positive or negitave, because it helps me improve on the next video.

This is my very first flash video I put on newgrounds so I know it isn't going to be the best video on here. The credit music isn't something I made so I can't do much about how it loops (and I felt that since it is a Sonic video, it should have some Sonic music in it ya know?).

I also wanted to use voices but I have to get a new microphone first! :D

rofl

What a creativity :P

Great stuff, the music fits it well, but a few sound effects would've been killer. Made in five hours? No way! Your skills sure are improving matt, great work. :)

fuzz responds:

Thanks, 5 hours solid though. Thanks for the review, im making another right now. I suppose im not allowed to post a link..
Anyway thanks and im glad you enjoyed

All NG Fads Die!!! 5!!! All NG Fads Die!!! 5!!!

Rated 4 / 5 stars November 6, 2006

Hmm.

I've gotta admit it. There are some people really talented in this, Helbereth's part was stunning (as usual). The music was too hardcore for my liking, but it suited well i guess. There's a thing, however, i must say...

Rad, You're becoming way too arrogant for your own good. Your part wasn't bad, I'll give you that, but it also wasn't near the quality of the best ones. In the tankmen part, the explosion looked lazy, and there was nearly any movement. Oh well.

Props to the great guys in this collab, Trip, Helbereth, Hellraiser, etc. Some parts looked really amazing, whilst others didn't. D: Nonetheless, nice collab.

Radioactive24 responds:

Explosions aren't my thing >.< Plus, there isn't much movement in the REAL Tankmen until the end. And I may be an asshole, but I'm not arrogant. There's a difference.
